About Us, Our Community, and You!

Peace Lutheran Church was formed over 110 years ago in Alma, NE. We are members of the Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ association in the Heartland region. Our Congregation is a blended mix of youth, young adults, middle age and retirees. We cherish our unity in Christ and strive to foster a welcoming environment where everyone can grow in faith.

Between our Saturday contemporary services and the traditional service on Sunday, we average 75 in attendance each week. Our current church was built in 1959, and we added a Fellowship hall and kitchen in the mid 2000’s. Our church has a 3-bedroom parsonage (recently remodeld kitchen and bathroom) that was built in 1963, with 1,450 square feet on the main floor and a full basement, partially finished.

The church has an active womens group that meets for bible study and quilting, the men’s group meets weekly, our youth group meets during the school session and we also offer confirmation and Sunday school. We are always wanting to grow our church in outreach and as a family.
